Masham Mary

The church of St. Mary the Virgin at Masham, North Yorkshire, showing the west end of the nave and the large painting above the arch to the tower.

Masham Mary

The name Mary is written in a number of languages, but, in this offering Mary is decidedly ‘western’ in features.

  1. I sang the soprano solos in The Ways of Zion Do Mourn by Handel in this church in the mid Nineties.
    Brings back memories.

  2. Beautiful!
